A Bahrain flight to Lahore was diverted to New Delhi, India, and 214 passengers including children and women and elderly were made to sit in the aircraft for almost 18 hours.
Every religion in the world teaches how to treat a guest, including Hinduism. International laws state that passengers have to be given accommodation if a flight is delayed or if it faces any other issues.
I would like to ask three questions to India’s Narendra Modi government.
1. Had this flight consisted of US passengers, would you give them the same treatment?
2. If any Indian airline was diverted to Bahrain and they were given the same treatment, how would the Indian government respond?
3. What if Modi or any Indian national is made to sit in an aeroplane for 18 hours with his children, wife and mother?
It’s a matter of disgrace and shame for the Indian government and also Indian people that the so-called world’s largest democracy is totally ruining the human rights of peaceful passengers.
