Shura Chairman hails hosting Arab Human Rights Court’s HQ in Bahrain

Manama, Sep 2 (BNA) – His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa today was congratulated by the Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh on selecting the Kingdom of Bahrain to host the permanent headquarter of the Arab Human Rights Court.

Shura Chairman praised the decision taken by the Arab League Council that holds an important strategic dimension and represents a step in the right direction for supporting and protecting the human rights system in the Arab world.

He commended the wise leadership’s unstinted efforts mad at the local and regional level for promoting human rights, and the HM the king’s recent wise initiative that included the establishment of the Arab Human Rights Court.

He asserted HM the King’s keenness to guard the constitutional rights and HM’s interest in all matters relating to the development of human rights awareness is the key motive for the establishment of the Arab Human Rights Court.
