Manama, Aug 25 (BNA) — Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh affirmed the Kingdom of Bahrain will always remain a country of tolerance and religious coexistence, pointing out the respect for religions and religious beliefs is one of the most important human rights principles adopted by the Kingdom.
Al-Saleh, during receiving a delegation from the Hindu Association, headed by Sushil Maljimal, pointed out that Bahrain was keen to develop the legislative and legal frameworks that safeguard the rights of all citizens and residents, as one of the pillars of stability and development sought by HM the King’s reform project.
The Hindu delegation praised the role of the Shura Council as a genuine partner in building a legal legislative base that respects human rights and maintains the minority religions rights.
Second Deputy Shura Chairman, Dr. Bahiya Jawad Al-Jishi, attended the meeting.
