Shura Council Chairman Receives Speaker of Jordan’s House of Representatives

Manama, June 5. (BNA) — Chairman of the Shura Council Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh has lauded Jordan’s official and popular stances regarding the regretful events in Bahrain and attempts to interfere in the kingdom’s domestic affairs in breach of its sovereignty and independence, confirming the National Assembly’s appreciation of sisterly Jordan’s role emanating from its keen interest to ensure Bahrain’s security and stability.
Speaking as he received here today the Speaker of Jordan’s Representatives Council Saad Hayel Al-Srour and his accompanying delegation, currently on a visit to the kingdom, Al Saleh affirmed that the deep-rooted outstanding Bahraini-Jordanian have always been solid, and will remain so thanks to the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the Jordanian Monarch HM King Abdulla II, praising the fraternal feelings prevailing among the two kingdoms’ citizens.
He said that Bahrainis feel at home when they go to Jordan, and the Jordanian citizens feel the same when they are in Bahrain.

Al Saleh highlighted the National Consensus Dialogue, noting that the dialogue principle is a deep-rooted Bahraini approach.

He added that keeping dialogue doors open testifies to HM the King’s wisdom and desire to protect the nation and safeguard the Kingdom’s hard-won landmark achievements.

On his part, Al-Srour lauded HM King Hamad’s wise leadership, democratic approach and great wisdom in dealing with local and international issues, affirming HM the King’s approach will secure a brighter future to the kingdom.

He expressed delight at visiting the kingdom and holding meetings with its senior officials, noting that the two kingdoms have set themselves as role models of successful fraternal relations, praising the Legislative branch’s keenness to develop relations with its counterpart in Jordan.

They also praised the crucial role played by the GCC council, calling upon Arab countries to join ranks in order to be able to overcome the challenges facing them.
