Manama, Jan 6 (BNA) – His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa today presented, in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, the government’s action plan (2015-2018) to the Council of Representatives.

Sickle cell anemia dossier has been given priority in the government’s action plan. The dossier comprises uplifting health care, intensifying and developing preventive health care programs and keeping on providing comprehensive health care for patients with sickle cell anemia starting from examining the newborn babies, providing periodic examination services, developing training plans for medical staff and organizing awareness programs on means of prevention and care.

Bahrain Sickle Cell Society hailed HRH Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa’s keenness and directives with respect to overcoming obstacles may face the sickle cell patients, which accentuate the government’s interest in sickle cell dossier.
