Smart palm tree project underway

Manama, Nov. 17 (BNA): The Capital Board of Trustee’s deputy chairman, Mazen al-Emran, unveiled the concept launching of the Smart Palm project to provide WiFi service in several locations in the Capital governorate, including public parks, malls and mobile phone charging facility in public places, Al Ayam has learnt.
An agreement has been signed for the purpose between the Capital Secretariat and Bahrain Telecommunications Company (Batelco) to decide the locations for installation of smart palm trees that will provide WiFi services to citizens and residents in the Kingdom.
Initially, al-Fateh corniche, the National Museum, the National Theatre, Bab al-Bahrain, Manama Souq, Adliya B338 in addition to a number of other locations will be decided in accord with Batelco, to be covered by WiFI service coverage.
