Snooker team in Karachi

THE Bahrain national snooker team arrived yesterday in Karachi to compete in the World Snooker Team Championship (6 balls) starting tomorrow and ending on August 15.

The team is headed by national teams director Mohammed Al Shaikh and consists of four players – Habib Sabah, who is Bahrain No. 1, Ahmed Ghuloom, Sadiq Abdulghani and Omar Ashiq, who are ranked two, three and four respectively.

The delegation also consists of two under-21 snooker players Khalil Ibrahim and Abdulla Mejairan and two referees Abdulla Janahi and Nadhim Ahmed.

The national team trained for eight hours daily under the supervision of national coach Mohammed Al Shaikh before leaving for Karachi.
