Solid Bahraini-Chinese relations praised

Manama, Aug. 5 (BNA) : Health Minister Sadiq bin Abdulkareem Al-Shehabi received here today the newly-appointed Chinese Ambassador to Bahrain Qi Zhenhong.


The minister wished the new envoy every success in assuming his diplomatic duties in the kingdom, and lauded the solid bilateral relations, progressing steadily in the economic, social and health fields.

Ambassador Qi Zhenhong expressed deepest thanks and appreciation to the kingdom’s leadership, government and people, praising the advanced level of bilateral relations, set to grow in all fields.

They discussed the situation of the 500 Bahraini students studying in Chinese medical universities, stressing the need to follow-up on the quality of education they receive.

The minister lauded the Chinese expertise in the field of alternative medicine, expressing hope that two friendly countries will pave the way for more field visits by consultants and enhance the exchange of medical expertise.

The Chinese ambassador praised the kingdom’s progress in all fields, especially the health one.
