Manama, Jan.16 (BNA) Council of Representatives Speaker Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al-Mullah paid tribute to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa for his call to stand united to defend the homeland and confront challenges.
He hailed the constructive cooperation of the Government, chaired by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa lauding the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier.
In statement today, Al-Mullah affirmed the parliamentary support to any new step which serves the vital national interest, paying tribute to Bahraini people for realizing the extent of challenges confronting the country and region.
He stressed the need to deal adequately with political developments and current economic challenges which, he said, requires communal partnership and cooperation.
He cautioned against any attempt to subvert national unity and exploit circumstances to fuel sectarian strife, spark visions and damage national unity and social cohesion which long marked Bahrain people.
The Speaker stressed the importance of the security and stability of Saudi Arabia, owing to pivotal role as a key pillar of the Arab and Islamic nations.
“Defending Saudi Arabian and supporting its security and stability is a crucial pan-Arab security matter and a religious duty”, he said, backing the Saudi-led Arab Alliance to restore legitimacy in Yemen on the basis of UN resolutions.
He stressed unwavering GCC and Arab solidarity and support to the stability of Saudi Arabia and Bahrain and rejection of external interference on their internal affairs, urged strong Arab stance to stave off threats
Arab and international cooperation, he said, has become necessary to combat the scourge pf terrorism and maintain countries’ security and stability, stressing the need to confront those parties which harbor terrorists and thwart their subversive designs.
He lauded brave Bahraini soldiers who are taking part in defending the land of the Two Holy Mosques and contributing courageously to protecting the Arab nation and its vital interests against foreign designs and plots.
