Manama, May 11 (BNA): Council of Representatives Speaker Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al-Mulla extended sincere thanks and gratitude to HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for the support provided for the legislative branch.
The Speaker stressed that the royal address at the opening of the first session of the fourth legislative term represents national guidance to follow in the interest of the homeland and citizens.

He underlined the keenness of the Council of Representatives to exert utmost efforts to serve Bahrain and citizens in line with the royal vision and to achieve the leadership’s goals of attaining further progress, security and prosperity.

The Speaker stressed the commitment to protecting people’s rights and interests, defending the homeland and maintaining cooperation with the government led by HRH Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, and the Court of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier.

He highlighted the Council of Representatives’ support for Operation Decisive Storm aimed at maintaining the region’s security and stability, restoring legitimacy in Yemen and protecting the Yemeni people from the Houthi terrorist militias. He hailed high-level combat readiness of Bahraini forces participating in the international coalition.

He hailed the royal pardon, issued for humanitarian reasons, for many inmates, which embodies HM the King’s humanitarian vision.
He hoped the beneficiaries of the royal pardon would reconsider their stances and contribute to the national process of construction and development.
