Summer Camp students visit GPIC

Manama, Aug. 22 (BNA): Participating youth in the Royal Academy of Police (RAP) Summer Camp visited the Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC). The Company hosted the youngsters as part of its keenness to promote cultural exchange and as part of it being a model for community service and partnership in Bahrain.


The participants were given a briefing about GPIC and told about its Academy of Learning and Leadership. They were also taken on a tour of the plant, as part of which they visited the Carbon Dioxide Recovery plant, the Princess Sabeeka Aromatic Plants Garden, the Charity Fish Farm, the Bird Sanctuary and the Olive Garden.


Commenting on the visit, GPIC President Dr. Abdulrahman Jawahery stressed the importance of building the next generation of Bahrainis and making them emulate their parents and grandparents who contributed to the building of a modern Bahrain.
He said the Company regularly hosts students from various camps, colleges, schools and universities as part of its community outreach programme. He thanked the organiser of the RAP camp and said he hoped GPIC would become its destination of choice in the future.


The head of the visiting delegation, Lt. MeshaalAbdulrahman Bu Ali thanked GPICManagementfor receiving the students and for the welcome and the hospitality.
