Tamkeen supports participation of 32 enterprises at Bahrain Boat Show 2013

The number of participants and the amount of support provided increased from last year’s show in 2012, where Tamkeen provided support for 28 exhibitors, compared to this year’s 32 exhibitors.

Commenting on this announcement, Tamkeen’s Senior Manager for Private Sector Support, Mohammed Bucheeri, said, “We are fully committed to developing businesses through high-value opportunities. The Bahrain Boat Show event is considered one of those opportunities, providing marine businesses with a strong platform to showcase their products and expand their customer base.”

The ‘Tarweej’ scheme is designed to support the development and sustainability of enterprises in Bahrain by expanding the outreach of their products and services through local, regional, and international exhibitions. Since its launch, Tamkeen provided around BD4.5m of support to 1700 businesses to participate in more than 350 exhibitions and events. All eligible enterprises in Bahrain may benefit from the scheme, but need to apply one month in advance of the desired event.

More than 4,500 enterprises in Bahrain have benefited from Tamkeen’s Enterprise Development Support Programme to date, which in addition to ‘Tarweej’ also includes ‘Istishara’ to assist in the strategic planning and determining vision and goals of the organisation, the ‘Techania’ to provide support for the purchase of latest enterprise-related tools and equipment, ‘Jawda’ to assist in the design and application of world-class quality standards, ‘Tasweeq’ to provide support in the design and implementation of effective marketing and communications strategies, and the Large Enterprises Support Scheme which allows large enterprises to acquire industrial machinery and technology.

The Bahrain Boat Show International 2013 is taking place at Amwaj Marina on 28th, 29th and 30th of March 2013 from 3 pm to 10 pm every day.
