Here are the best pictures from this weekend’s thrilling Bahrain grand prix.

Britain’s Lewis Hamilton won his second race in a row, in a close battle with team-mate Nico Rosberg.

The German still leads the world championship, but his Mercedes colleague has closed the gap.

This was Bahrain’s first floodlit grand prix, and it will also be remembered for a spectacular crash between Esteban Gutierrez and Pastor Maldonado.

Maldonado came out of the pits and smashed into Gutierrez, sending his car into a barrel roll. The safety car had to come out because of the crash.

Gutierrez’s car was a wreck, but thankfully the driver later tweeted that he was okay.
