The Ministry of Foreign Affairs commends the stance of the United Arab Emirates

Manama: Feb. 26 –- (BNA) — The Kingdom of Bahrain’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has commended the action taken by the United Arab Emirates in denying entry to Kristian Coates Ulrichsen into the sisterly United Arab Emirates on February 23, 2013 purportedly to participate at a conference organized by the American University of Sharjah in association with the London School of Economics and Political Science to promote false and incorrect views regarding the situation in Bahrain.

The Kingdom praised the UAE’s supportive stance which is a true reflection of the strong brotherly bonds between the two countries, an honorable stance and a sign of genuine spirit of Arabian Gulf solidarity in confronting all malicious acts.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs called upon universities and academic research centers in the GCC region or abroad and to uphold neutrality and objectiveness in all seminars or conferences. the Ministry also urged them to be objective when dealing with information related to the Gulf Cooperation Council, in order to support their credibility at all times.
