Manama, Jan24(BNA)An international conference showcasing all of Bahrain’s best attributes will be held in Brussels, Belgium, on January 27 -28.
Bahrain Federation of Expatriate Associations (BFEA) secretary-general Betsy Mathieson announced the two-day event, whose first and second editions had been held in London and Berlin.
“One hundred leading figures representing 40 institutions, expatriate clubs, mosques, churches, worshipping venues and civil society organisations will participate”, she said in a meeting convened this evening.
Officials representing the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), the ministries of housing and industry and commerce will also take part in the two-day function, following the success of the first and second editions which were held in London and Berlin, last May and October respectively.
“The tour features a press conference for Belgian media and a prayer-for-peace will be held in St. Michael Cathedral in Brussels to promote the real image of Bahrain as peace-loving country and a an oasis of tolerance and co-existence”, said Ms Mathieson.
A conference and exhibition will also be held on January 28 with a wide cross-section of participants representing the Sunni and Jaafari Endowment Directorates, the Catholic, Protestant and Orthodox Churches, the Jewish synagogue, the Sikh, Hindu and Buddhist temples, in addition to three Mps and two Shura Council members.
