"This is Bahrain" to be held in Bahrain

Manama, Nov.16 (BNA): The Bahrain Federation of Expatriate Associations (BFEA) will mark the National Day in style. It announced that it would hold the “THIS IS BAHRAIN” in Bahrain, on December 11 at the National Stadium Car Park, in Riffa. Embassies, schools, clubs, civil society institutions and religious enterprises will take part .

“Following on from the successes of ‘THIS IS BAHRAIN’s’ International Road Shows in London, Berlin, Brussels, Paris, Washington DC and New York, we want to showcase in Bahrain what we have showcased outside the Kingdom,” BFEA Secretary-General Betsy Mathieson said. “Our aim is to bring Bahraini and expatriate families together to celebrate Bahrain’s ‘One Family Spirit’ and to give thanks for our many blessings and our peaceful, harmonious way of life, thanks to the visionary leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa who has granted us all total Religious Freedom and the Right to worship unhindered.”

“This Right is something we are all extremely grateful for and that we feel is even more important today, in light of the recent tragic events in France and Lebanon and ‘THIS IS BAHRAIN” in BAHRAIN is the perfect opportunity for our communities to come together and thank His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, HRH the Prime Minister, Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, and HRH The Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa and to show our love and respect for the Leadership and for each other, in the true Bahraini way, by sharing and celebrating as One Family.”

Mathieson said the event would feature exhibition stands from embassies, schools, clubs, associations, societies, and religious organisations and would include live entertainment throughout the day provided by school children of all nationalities who will perform dances and songs that represent their culture.

A traditional Bahraini Souk will be recreated and there will be free food, soft drinks, and raffle tickets with prizes ranging from airline tickets, to laptops, smart phones, electronic goods, dinner vouchers and hotel stays.

“A special feature will be a children’s playground fun activities to keep the children amused. ‘’THIS IS BAHRAIN” in Bahrain is only possible due to the generosity of Local business sponsors and we invite anyone who would like to sponsor the event to contact us.
