Top awards for STC subsidiary

VIVA Bahrain, the most innovative telecom provider in Bahrain and one of STC Group’s subsidiaries, has won two prestigious accolades — Best Brand and Best Growth Strategy — at the Telecoms World Middle East (TWME) Awards held recently in Dubai for its unparalleled growth in Bahrain since its inception.
This victory is a vindication of the growth strategy adopted by the company, where in just three years of operations VIVA achieved market leadership through its creative customer service approach and a number of marketing activities that made VIVA Bahrain rank among the top brands in the region.
Ulaiyan Al-Wetaid, VIVA Bahrain CEO, said: “We are extremely honored to receive these merits, which are further proof of Bahrain’s telecommunications industry position in the region. We would like to extend our thanks and gratitude to the Bahraini government and the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority and to the wider community of Bahrain, whose support has facilitated our growth since our inception. Winning these accolades is a reflection of VIVA’s team work and dedication for the past three years. Together we have achieved a major win for Bahrain’s telecom industry and this encourages us to continue investing and driving innovation.”
VIVA Bahrain won a number of awards this year, including the Golden Order of Merit in the field of social responsibility in the Arab world for 2013, presented by the Arab League.
