Manama, Sept. 7 (BNA): Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC)’s general secretary Abdulrahman Askar received International Mixed Martial Arts Federation IMMAF’s president Crith Brown, who is on an official visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Askar welcomed Brown and conveyed to him the greetings and best wishes from the Advisor of His Majesty King Hamad for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS)’s chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC)’s president Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
Both sides reviewed possible means of cooperation in an attempt to boost the game in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Askar said the committee is keen to build bridges of cooperation with the IMMAF, especially that mixed martial arts has been significantly expanding in Bahrain in line with the support offered by the kingdom’s sports leadership.
On his part, the IMMAF president commended the support offered by Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports first deputy chairman, which is contributing to the development of mixed martial arts in the Kingdom.
