TRA Participates in the 5th World Telecommunications/ICT Policy Forum

Manama, May 25. (BNA) –Telecommunication Regulatory Authority represented the Kingdome of Bahrain at the 5th World Telecommunications/ICT Policy Forum (WTPF) held by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in Geneva, on 14-16 May, 2013 with a theme of ‘International Internet-related Public Policy Issues’.


TRA Bahrain was invited to chair the second Working Group which discussed the Opinions on ‘Supporting Capacity Building for the Deployment of IPv6’ and ‘In Support of IPv6 Adoption and Transition from IPv4’. The working group was chaired by Musab Abdulla, Manager of Strategy PMO at TRA Bahrain.

Over 900 participants from 130 country attended the 5th World Telecommunications/ICT Policy Forum (WTPF) in Geneva, while more than 3,000 people participated remotely via web broadcast.
