SUPREME Council for Youth and Sports chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee president Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa will lead the Bahrain triathlon team today in an Olympic triathlon race being organised by Public Security Sports Association.

This event is being held as part of Bahrain’s preparations to host “Challenge Bahrain” International Triathlon Championship on December 6 in celebration of the Kingdom’s National Day.

The race is scheduled to start at 7am this morning at Bahrain Bay.

The first-leg with be a 1.5km swimming. It will be followed by a 40km run from Bahrain Gulf Bay to the first causeway of Hamad Town Highway, then head back to Bahrain Bay.

Shaikh Nasser praised the actions taken by the organising committee and wished them all the best.
