Manama, June 19 (BNA) — The Tourism Sector Committee (TSC) at the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry today held a meeting at Baet Al-Tijjar with a number of concerned private and government sectors to discuss the obstacles facing the tourism sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The Committee called for cooperation between government and private sectors and find necessary proposals to push and develop tourism sector, and reviewed a number of solutions to address difficulties facing the progress of the sector, calling on the government and private sectors to promote tourism in light of the diversity of tourist patterns in Bahrain.
University of Bahrain took part in the meeting by reviewing a number of proposals may assist in supporting tourism industry in the Kingdom.
The Committee seeks holding a ministerial level seminar in current year to convey the Committee’s recommendations to the decision-makers for boosting tourism sector.
The meeting attended by representatives of the Immigration and Passports Directorate, Civil Aviation Authority, Tourism Affairs, Economic Development Board, Ministry of Industry and Commerce, Association of Travel and Tourism Agencies, University of Bahrain, Mumtaldat Company, Five-Star Hotels Committee, Four-Star Hotels Committee, Bahrain International Circuit and a number of the Chamber’s official.
