Two suspected Gulf terrorists arrested

Manama-Nov23(BNA) Two GCC nationals have today been arrested as they were trying to enter Bahrain via King Fahd Causeway, using forged passports.


The duo, who are former Guantanamo detainees, were carrying a large amount of money, General Directorate of Criminal Investigations and Forensic Evidence director-general said.

The men are suspected of plotting to perpetrate a terror act which may threaten Bahrain’s security and safety.

Police have launched an inquiry to know whether the two arrested Gulf nationals have any connections with other parties.

Bahrain will host the 32nd meeting of the GCC interior ministers in the course of this week. The
General Directorate of Criminal Investigations and Forensic Evidence director-general said that the two suspects would be deferred to the Public Prostitution to face charges.
