United Arab Emirates disappoints hosts Bahrain to enter the semifinals of the ongoing Gulf cup competition 2013. This adds luxury to UAE coach to rest some players as they are already into the semis before one game.

UAE took lead in first half as Al Jazira forward Ali Mabkhout scored for the winning side in the 4oth minute of the game in the game played at Bahrain National Stadium. Ali Mabkhout scored four goals in their last clash against Bahrain in a friendly match.

Al Malood brought hosts right back in the game in 75th minute after he could use untidy back pass from UAE to find the net. Bahrain should however taken the lead in 79th minute John missed the target for hosts which got them back in the game just 5 minutes before the regulation time as Majed Hassan booked winning tickets for UAE.
