UAE Is 20th Happiest Country in the World

The United Arab Emirates has been ranked as the 20th happiest country in the world according to the World Happiness Report 2015.

Switzerland was ranked No. 1 for happiness followed by Iceland, Denmark and Norway – looks like Scandinavia is the region of contentment. Other Arab countries to make the top 50 include Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Bahrain, with Oman coming in just below the UAE at 22nd place.

First published in 2012 to support the United Nations High Level Meeting on Happiness and Well-Being, the report compiles data from 156 countries.
