Manama, July 7 (BNA): University of Bahrain (UoB) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on joint cooperation with Awal Gulf Manufacturing Company.

The MoU aims to promote cooperation in the field of scientific and applied research and develop human resources in order to achieve common goals. It was signed by UoB President Dr. Ebrahim Mohammed Janahi and Awal Gulf Manufacturing Company Managing Director Adel Mohammad Mattar.

Under the MoU, a research centre to improve energy efficiency will be established. It will conduct research and provide consulting, assessment and developing regulation systems and energy projects.

The centre center will comprise experts with scientific competencies and academic expertise and will ensure training and qualification Bahraini cadres in various fields of energy, including renewable energies.

It was also agreed to conduct technical training for UoB students in various companies in the Kingdom of Bahrain and cooperation in the field of engineering research and administrative and Applied Science so as to achieve common goals.

Deanship of Scientific Research will follow-up on and supervise the implementation of the MoU.
