Wanderers not signing Nguimbuos

SOCCER – The search for a new team is still on for Cameroonian left-back Jean Nguimbuos after failing to secure a contract with Manzini Wanderers.

The Manzini based team has decided against signing the defender after his three-week trials with the team.

The former Mbabane Highlanders player joined the club for pre-season with the hope of securing a deal.

stint

Worth noting is that Nguimbuos also had a short stint with Mbabane Highlanders during their pre-season and even featured in friendly matches before going to Wanderers.

He was once spotted at both Mbabane Swallows training sessions where he confirmed he was back in local football.

Nguimbuos, who previously played for Manzini Sundowns and Mbabane Highlanders, joined Budaiya Club at the beginning of last year on a one-year contact.

Manzini Wanderers PRO Mduduzi ‘Mr G’ Ginindza said they had decided against signing the player.

training

“It’s true the player has been training with us for the past three weeks but we will not be signing him for this season,” he said.

Ginindza said Nguimbuos was a good player but would not sign him because of certain reasons.

He said they had been waiting for the coach’s recommendation on the player and he was not recommended.

“That’s all I can say about the player. He is a good player and thank him for coming to train with us. I wish him well in his future endeavors,” he said.

The players’ failure to secure a deal with Wanderers means the search for a new team continues for him.

The player left the last season for Bahrain team Budaiya Club, and returned in the country over a month ago looking for a team.

 officially

Bahrain is officially known as the Kingdom of Bahrain and is an island located in the Middle East on the coast of Saudi Arabia in the Persian Gulf.  The peninsula of Qatar is located southeast of Bahrain across the Gulf of Bahrain.  Wanderers have already signed five players in winger Sihle Ndaba, striker Leonardo Bongso, Gareth Sussman, Mthokosizi Nkhambule and Bobby Carrignton.
