ROME: Bahrain will stand side by side with friendly countries in the face of radical ideologies threatening security and stability in the region, said His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister.

He was speaking as he yesterday received Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi in Rome, on the sidelines of his visit to Italy to take part in Milano Expo 2015.

He said the strong diplomatic ties between Bahrain and Italy reflect the long-standing historic relations bonding both countries and the extent of cultural and intellectual awareness that have contributed to forging common visions at all levels.
