Manama, Jul. 15. (BNA) – Culture Minister Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa received here today the CEO of Mumtalakat Bahrain Mahmood Al-Kooheji.

The meeting focused on ways to boost the tourism sector in the kingdom.

The Minister called for the need to join ranks in order to promote tourism and create a solid cultural and tourism infrastructure in Bahrain.

She updated Al-Kooheji on the Culture Ministry’s activities in Bab Al-Bahrain and functions related to the “Manama as Capital of Asian Tourism for 2014”.

She highlighted the importance of the role played by private and public institutions in spurring tourism ad making Bahrain a favourable destination for tourists from all over the world.

Al-Kooheji lauded the landmark cultural and tourism achievements attained by the Culture Ministry at the local, regional and international levels.
He expressed Mumtakat’s constant readiness to cooperate with the Ministry of Culture in order to develop vital tourist sites in the kingdom.
