With no recognised pacemaker in this Group One race over a mile, Moore decided to dictate matters.

Integral (7/2 co-favourite) was given an easy lead and when Moore increased the tempo, Sir Michael Stoute’s filly gave her all and kept all at bay as she galloped on strongly to score by a length from Miss France, with Fintry third.

“She sat handy when she won the Falmouth and we didn’t have a lot of options really,” Moore said.

“Holding her up would have been tricky, but you never know in those sort of races. It worked out well.

“She’s a very good filly. She won at Royal Ascot, she was impressive in the Falmouth, she was all wrong at Deauville.

“We’ve always thought very highly of her. She’s a good filly.”

Stoute revealed Integral’s only possible race before the end of the season would be the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes and that she will remain in training in 2015.

“She did a nice piece of work about 10 days ago with Ryan and we were very happy with that,” the Newmarket handler told Racing UK.

“We had a chat this morning and Ryan said he didn’t want to take her back. She made it in the Falmouth so she’s very versatile.

“You can ride her any way, but I love her with a lead. She’s got a great kick. She’s a class act and she was in good shape today.

“She’s going to stay in training. Her dam Echelon was even better at five. I wouldn’t mind if she improved a few more pounds.

“The QEII would be the only other consideration. We’ll have to see how she comes out of this. We might take our chance.”

With Esoterique fourth, it was a 2-3-4 for trainer Andre Fabre.

Maxime Guyon, rider of Miss France, said: “She’s run a good race behind a top filly in Integral. I followed the pace and she tried hard but couldn’t pick up the winner. She’s run a very good race because it was a very strong Group One and I’m very happy.”

Fintry’s rider Mickael Barzalona said: “She’s run a very good race, but Ryan’s filly is very tough and I came beside her but couldn’t get past.

“She’s improved after every run and she can win a Group One, for sure. She finished very close to Miss France and she’s a Group One winner.”
