Sao Paulo, Brazil, 27 November
The 14-hour travel from Copenhagen to the final round of the FIA World Endurance Championship in Brazil is the sweetest journey of the season for Young Driver AMR. After the fourth win in seven races at the series penultimate round at Bahrain ten days ago, Young driver AMR, Kristian Poulsen and David Heinemeier Hansson travel as freshly crowned World Cup winners of the GTE-Am-class to South America. For the final Six-hour race on the Formula One track of Interlagos in Sao Paulo, Poulsen and Heinemeier Hansson share the Aston Martin Racing entered Young Driver AMR-Aston Martin Vantage GTE with Nicki Thiim.

With the World Cup title already under their belt, Young Driver AMR, Poulsen and Heinemeier Hansson travel relaxed to Brazil. But there is still a small goal: With Poulsen/Heinemeier Hansson being championship winners and Young Driver Christoffer Nygaard, who races in the #98 Aston Martin, in second and Nicki Thiim third in the GTE-Am championship, there would be Young driver AMR driver in the top three position of the championship, if they can maintain their positions during the final round. “Three Danes in the first three spots of a international racing championship, that would be great and I guess this would be a first, Jan Struve of Young Driver AMR says. „We will certainly not step back and will go flat our at Interlagos, as we would like to celebrate the championship with another victory. After clinching the championship at Bahrain, we are looking forward to have a great weekend in Brazil and celebrate the championship. We will give everything to finish the season with another victory, but expect once again fierce competition from the #98 Aston Martin with our boy Christoffer Nygaard.“

„We didn’t had much time to celebrate after Bahrain, but I hope we can do this in Brazil and hopefully with yet another class victory“, Kristian Poulsen says. „We don’t have to consider the championship any more and I suppose we will have lots of fun on a track, which is great. Of course, we would like to close the season with a victory, but we have nothing to loose anymore.“

“It’s a wonderful feeling to go into the last race of the season with the championship in our pocket“, David Heinemeier Hansson says. „It means we can just drive hard for the win with no fear of a mistake having larger consequences. Interlagos is a beautiful track. This has been a dream season and we’re going to send it off with a bang!“
