Bahrain attends leadership panel meeting

Manama, Jan. 30 (BNA): Sports Training and Development specialist Ali Qamber recently attended the 26th meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Training and Leadership Committee meeting in Dubai.

The meeting, held on January 19, was chaired by Sultan bin Mohammed bin Suwailem of the UAE and aimed to activate voluntary work in 2016 in accordance to the vision of Saudi Arabia’s Monarch King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

The committee also reviewed joint programmes of the executive committee planned in 2015, and the plan for 2016, which includes a sport for all event in the UAE in November, a workshop on voluntary skills management in Bahrain in April.

Other events planned for 2016 include a workshop on sports crisis management in Saudi Arabia, a sport, youth and voluntary work management workshop in Oman in August, a collective voluntary work in Qatar in October, and a workshop on sports injuries and first aid in Kuwait in December.
