Bahrain TRA prepares for annual quality of service tests

Bahrain’s Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) has held a meeting on its annual quality of service (QoS) Drive Test Audit. The workshop which was attended by local operators and consultants from Ascom Networks Testing, who have been chosen this year to carry out the audit. The Drive Test Audit will run from the end of August for three months. It will be carried out over a total of 1,000km of the kingdom’s streets, covering mostly populated and newly developed areas, in addition to some vital areas that are often densely populated. In addition to every year’s benchmarking report, which the authority publishes for consumers and the industry, a portal will be made available this year to explain the report in a more consumer-friendly manner.
