Bahraini League title either for Muharraq or Busaiteen

Manama, May 31st (BNA) –Attention is turned today to the top match for the eighteenth final phase of the Bahraini Football League between Busaiteen the second and Al-Hidd the third today Friday, and Muharraq the leading, on goal basis, is playing with Riffa the fourth next Monday to determine the champion of the fifty-six edition.

Muharraq and Busaiteen have equal points and they are leading at the top, with priority for Muharraq, based on which scores more goals.

Busaiteen is playing the match today under pressures, as it is needed to win to stay having the chances to be crowned with the title for the first time in its history, aspiring that Muharraq loses the points when playing with Riffa next Monday.

Busaiteen local coach, Khalifa Al Zayani seeks to achieve a new title with Busaiteen, as he has already achieved the title when he led Muharraq some seasons before.

For its part, Al-Hidd is setting for the match with its local coach, Adnan Ibrahim, for achieving a moral victory to end its march with this season, particularly the result will not affect its position of being in the third place, and therefore Al-Hidd will try to gain the 3 points to strengthen its position and give a golden opportunity for Muharraq to achieve the thirty-third title in its history.

In the second match, and under the leadership of the Tunisian coach, Samir Bin Shammam, Al-Muharraq wishes to regain the league title and hit the record by adding a new title to the thirty two titles it gained so far.

Al-Muharraq is counting a lot on its players who have great experience, and for its part, Al-Riffa is setting for the match under the leadership of its Bosnian coach, Jamal Hajji.

Al-Riffa wishes to achieve a moral victory to end its march with in the competition and be in the fourth place, after it has lost all the chances to keep the title for the second successive season.

There were two matches yesterday between Al-Shabab and Malkiya, and the other match was between Bahrain and Haala.

The fight for not falling into the second division is now between the three teams Al-Bahrain (10 points), Al-Shabab and Malkiya (12 points for each). Al-Bahrain faces Al-Haala with only one ambition, which is to win, for the loss or tie will make it stay in its tenth and last position, and so fall to the second division.

The fatal confrontation will be between Al-Malkiya and Al-Shabab, and the tie will be enough for Al-Shabab to ensure staying in the division, based on the number of goals (16 goals for Shabab and 17 goals for Malkiya), where the victory of any of them will keep it with the first division.

The team attaining the last place will directly fall to the second division, while the ninth-place team before the last, will play with East Riffa in the two matches to determine the team that will be with the first division in the next season.

Meanwhile, Al-Najma, the fifth (22 points) is playing with Manama, the sixth (20 points).
