BFH to be key sponsor of Gulf Property Show

MANAMA: Bahrain Financial Harbour (BFH), has signed up as a gold sponsor for the inaugural Gulf Property Show.

The show, organised by Hilal Conferences and Exhibitions (HCE), will be held at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre from May 7 to 9.

The Gulf Property Show will be held alongside two other high-profile shows organised by HCE – gulfBID and gulfINTERIORS.

“The Gulf Property Show comes at an appropriate time when Bahrain’s property market is picking up after the slump that had hit realty in the kingdom over the last two years as a result of the worldwide economic downturn,” said BFH managing director Dr Omar Al Mardi.

“There is no doubt that the show will boost awareness in the property market.

“It will also provide an ideal platform for the BFH to showcase its world-class facilities including a complete financial city, which is a self-contained community in the centre of Manama,” he said.

“BFH is the product of a unique idea to build a business community that will accommodate all financial institutions in one place and provide them with all the necessary services whether it be communications, security or professional support services such as auditors and lawyers,” he added.

“At the same time, BFH provides the proximity to high-level living accommodation for families in nearby buildings together and social requirements including shopping areas, sports clubs and medical clinics.

“The location itself is ideal as it is the literal gateway into and out of Bahrain,” he said.

“The kingdom has a central land registry for property that clarifies land ownership, a strong regulatory environment and a range of bench-marked professional services and expertise, independent agencies, and banking and financial systems all recognised internationally,” he added.

“We are thrilled to have BFH sign up as gold sponsors for the inaugural Gulf Property Show,” HCE managing director Jubran Abdulrahman.

“It is well known that BFH is one of the respected, landmark estates in the heart of Manama having properties ranging from commercial to residential and lifestyle.

“We believe there is synergy between what they have to offer and what visitors will see at Gulf Property Show. “The support of BFH shows the value that the property sector places in the first Gulf Property Show.

“We at HCE believe Bahrain needs a property show not just to showcase what the kingdom has to offer, but also to open the window on the property sector available to a burgeoning real estate investment base in the Northern Gulf,” he said.

“The very fact that we are launching it in line with gulfBID and gulfINTERIORS is going to make it successful in its first year as it trades off the back of these popular exhibitions,” he added.

“Through the confluence of the three shows we have a vision to create a one-stop shop for visitors and exhibitors to cater to all their requirements relating to property in all its developing stages of interest, from building construction to interior dŽcor and furniture, and to real estate itself,” he added.

“We are confident that the three shows will attract a huge number of visitors not only from Bahrain but also from across the causeway from Saudi Arabia,” he said.

“The shows will open up opportunities for buyers and sellers to come together and make deals at all levels,” he added.
