BOC launches "Tawasul" initiative

Manama, Aug. 31 (BNA): The Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) recently launched ‘Tawasul’, a new initiative aimed to maintain strong bonds with the first generation of sportspeople in Bahrain.
BOC general secretary Abdulrahman Askar, along with high-ranking committee officials, visited former Bahrain Volleyball Association and Arab Volleyball Organisation president Mohammed Hamada at his residence to enquire about his health condition.

Askar conveyed the greetings of His Majesty the King’s Advisor for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Supreme Council for Youth and Sports chairman and BOC president HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa and his best wishes to Hamada for a speedy recovery.

Askar and the accompanying delegation noted the significant efforts and contributions of Hamada in the sports section in the kingdom of Bahrain throughout the many years he spent, either as a regional volleyball leader, or at the General Organisation for Youth and Sports.

On his part, Mohammed Hamada showed relief for this generous gesture, which underlines the keenness of the Bahrain Olympic Committee to support sports pioneers who spared no efforts in serving the field of sports and provided quality services, which contributed to many achievements in the past.
