Boost to Bahrain-Morocco cooperation

Manama, Jan. 22 (BNA): Morocco’s Minister of Equipment, Transportation and Logistics, Abdulaziz Rabbah, has affirmed the importance of Bahrain International Airshow (BIAS2016) as a point of convergence in boosting the bilateral ties and developing air and sea transportation which will push forward the wheel of development in both countries to reap the benefit to all.


The Moroccan minister was speaking to Bahrain News Agency (BNA) on the side-lines of a meeting he had with Transportation, Telecommunications Minister Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed during which they discussed means to develop the bilateral cooperation in the field of air transportation regarding the technical, technological, security and procurement aspects. They also reviewed potential for boosting passenger and cargo flights.

He stressed the importance of human cadres’ training to be capable of adopting the fast transformations and benefit from Bahrain’s pioneering expertise in aviation and hospitality field. Maritime transportation forms a major dossier especially as it boosts his country’s trade exchange with Bahrain and with the entire Gulf region as well. Therefore, he said, we should develop our fraternal ties as well as special economic cooperation.

The Moroccan airlines is vigorously regaining its routes in north Africa region and Gulf Air is seeking to expand its network through the purchase of more than 50 aircraft.
