Manama, Jan. 6 (BNA): Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI)’s Businesswomen Committee headed by board member Afnan Alzayani has held its final meeting for the year ending December 31.
The meeting commended the efforts of Khulood Abdulqader in designing the official logo of Bahrain Women’s Day 2015 and the golden memento coin for the Central Bank of Bahrain, while recalling Bahraini Women’s Day and women’s achievements during the prosperous reign His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, emphasizing the key role of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW) presided by Wife of His Majesty the King, Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, in supporting and empowering women.

During the meeting, the committee endorsed postponing its visit to its counterpart from Asharqia Chamber of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to February 2016, and praised the recent GCC Businesswomen Forum held in Doha-Qatar which resulted in key recommendations among which was establishing a Gulf businesswomen’s corporation.
