1月11日，在巴林首都麥納麥，起火樓房冒出濃煙。當天下午，巴林首都麥納麥一棟外國打工者居住的樓房發生火災。據悉，樓內居住著的打工者來自孟加拉國、印度、巴基斯坦等，沒有中國公民。大火造成13名外國工人死亡，包括1名消防員在內多人受傷。新華社/巴林通訊社

Bahrain Opens Probe Into Deadly Labor Camp Fire
Officials in Bahrain have opened an investigation into the cause of fire that killed 13 people in a labor camp.
The official Bahrain News Agency says the public prosecutor's office is leading the probe into Friday's blaze in the capital Manama.
The report Saturday said fire collapsed the roof of the three-story building used to house workers.

MANAMA: At least 13 people were killed in a fire that broke out in a labour camp in the Bahraini capital Manama on Friday, the civil defence department said.Hundreds of thousands of foreign labourers, mainly from the Asian subcontinent, work in the island kingdom.The Bahrain News Agency quoted the acting head of civil defence as saying that firefighters had found the bodies of 13 people inside the three-storey building.One Read more [...]

Maruti Suzuki India expand its presence in Mideast East
It is reported that Indian carmaker Maruti Suzuki is to expand its presence in Bahrain and other Middle East countries.
Mr Sashank Srivastava executive director of Maruti Suzuki said that the company was looking at making its presence felt in the Bahrain market with an aggressive marketing campaign and creating more awareness about the brand.
Mr Srivastava said that "Part of our brand awareness will centre around making people more oriented towards smaller cars as opposed to the larger SUV's."
