Gang dressed as women rob City Centre Rolex shop

MANAMA: Three men disguised as women broke into the Rolex shop at Bahrain's biggest mall and made off with watches worth thousands of dinars. They raided the shop after it closed at 10pm on Tuesday and attacked a security guard, who required medical treatment. Sources said 81 watches, which could be worth more than BD160,000, were stolen in the overnight raid by men wearing abayas. Key CBB steps to speed up clearing of cheques

MANAMA: Amendments that speed up clearing of cheques and reduce the risks of handling them have been announced by the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB). The new procedures will make it possible to transfer cheques to the account of the payee on the same day. MANAMA: A Bahraini died during a visit to Iran, officials confirmed yesterday. Reports of a Bahraini's death while abroad in Mashhad were confirmed by an official from the Bahrain Embassy in Tehran.
