MANAMA: Loan portfolio of Bahrain’s banks rose to its highest level of BD7.1 billion at the end of June, compared to BD7.03bn in May, according to latest data compiled by Central Bank of Bahrain.

Bahrain’s business sector borrowed more than BD4.4bn, while personal loans reached BD2.51bn.
The government sector came at the bottom of the list with only BD176.2 million loan, reports our sister paper Akhbar Al Khaleej.

FORMER World champions Maryam Yusuf Jamal and Yusuf Saad Kamel are set to lead an 11-strong Bahrain team at the upcoming third Islamic Solidarity Games. Manama, Sep 8 (BNA) – Bahraini retail lender BMI said its board members have reached an agreement with Al Salam Bank-Bahrain, a dynamic, diversified and differentiated Islamic bank, to merge the two entities through a share swap deal.
