Dubai - Two men, a German and a Filipino, have drowned after the boat they were aboard sank in Gulf waters off Bahrain, the official BNA news agency quoted the coast guard as saying. Bahrain has imposed a ban on Indian manufactured Maggi noodles of Nestle, media reported on Sunday. Work set to start on new British naval base in Bahrain

Work is due to start on a new British naval base in Bahrain, a senior official has confirmed. Outgoing British Ambassador Iain Lindsay told Gulf Daily News that the new facility aims to deter regional threats and maintain security in the Gulf and wider region.
