Doctor who refused to pay ex-wife must give her entire family fortune

A hospital consultant who “washed his hands” of his family must pay his former
wife every penny of his £550,000 assets in a rare case of a 100 per cent
divorce award.

Essam Aly, 54, an anaesthetist who left his wife, Enas, 46, in 2011 and moved
to Bahrain, has not paid any maintenance or child support since 2012. It was
feared that the “serial defaulter” would never again pay to support his
ex-wife or their two children. A family court judge has now ordered that the
family’s entire £550,000 fortune must go to Mrs Aly.
