Editors-in-chief reject Iranian interference in Bahraini affairs

Manama, July 23 (BNA): Local newspapers editors-in-chief today denounced the blatant Iranian interference in Bahrain’s internal affairs.
They affirmed, in a statement, they stance by HM the King’s leadership and protecting national interests and democratic practices.

The editors condemned the Iranian interference in Bahrain’s affairs as a flagrant infringement on national sovereignty and a breach of UN principles and international norms, conventions and charters.

They rejected the continuing misleading media campaigns led against Bahrain, supporting terrorist operations, smuggling weapons and explosives, training terrorists and refuging fugitives, which are contrary to good-neighborly relations that Bahrain has always sought to maintain.

The editors-in-chief who issued the condemnation statement were Anwar Abdulrahman, Akhbar Al Khaleej, Isa Al-Shayhi, Al-Ayyam, Mansour Al-Jamri, Al-Wasat, Yousuf Al-Binkhalil, Al-Watan, Munis Al-Mardi, Al-Bilad, and
Abdulmun’m Al-Mir, Al-Naba.
