Eid names Bahrain’s AFC Asian Cup squad

Eid, who took over from Adnan
Hamed as the result of adisappointing showing during Novembers Gulf Cup
tournament, has also selected three foreign-based players, including
strike duo Faouzi Aaish and Jaycee John.

The Muharraq club also contribute seven players to thesquad, who will
be aiming to go some way towards matching the nations best performance
at the AFC Asian Cup, which came in 2004 when Bahrain reached the
semi-finals.

Bahrain have been drawn in Group C of the AFC Asian Cup Australia
2015, where they will face Iran, the United Arab Emirates and Gulf Cup
winners Qatar. Eids side will begin their campaign in Melbourne against
Iran on January 11.
