Energy minister receives US Chamber delegation

Manama, Nov.27 (BNA): Energy Minister Dr. Abdulhussain bin Ali Mirza received a delegation from the American Chamber of Commerce (US Chamber), currently on a visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Dr. Mirza, welcomed the delegation, led by US Chamber Chairman David Phillips, stressed strong close bilateral relations between Bahrain and the United States.

He briefed the visitors about the history of oil and gas in Bahrain and briefed the delegates on the organizational structure of the sector as well as strategic energy projects and investments.

He underlined the role of the National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA) and its efforts to achieve continued economic growth in Bahrain.
Phillips outlined on a number of topics and issues relating to oil and gas, stressing the possibility of joint cooperation between the Chamber and NOGA.

He thanked the minister for the welcome and the hospitality and said that the meeting was a good opportunity to promote cooperation and the exchange of ideas between the two sides.

The Arab wing of the American Chamber of Commerce was founded in 1997 and includes international business that aim to build strategic relationships between decision-makers in the United States, the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) to promote economic growth.

It also includes major companies from the private sector and academic institutions from different industrial sectors in the United States and the Middle East and North Africa.
