The weekend was particularly buzzing in Chandigarh with many “fashionable” events. Bringing together 32 finalists from countries including Canada, France, Netherlands, Bahrain, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Malaysia, Bhutan and India on a single platform was the Chandigarh edition of the Indian Princess 2013 contest. The show, organised by Creativatorss Events, rolled out at Chandigarh Club on Sunday evening and saw the ladies put their best foot forward for a fashion show. The finalists were previously in Thailand, where they underwent training and grooming sessions. Unlike what the name suggests, being part of royalty was not a prerequisite for entering the competition. “It is a beauty pageant that recognises talent and promotes it. We want to encourage aspirants from overseas in the Indian modelling industry and Bollywood,” says Sunil Rane, chairman, Indian Princess and Indian Princess International. The finale of the beauty pageant will be held on March 8 in Mumbai.
