GPIC sponsors HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Award

Manama, Feb. 9 (BNA): The Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (GPIC) has announced its sponsorship of this year’s edition of Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa Scientific Research Award in the field of sports.

The award, in its second edition, aims at promote positive attitudes towards scientific research to create knowledge and contribute to the development of sports movement.
GPIC’s initiative was revealed during the company’s meeting with Bahrain Olympic Committee Abdulrahman Askar and head of marketing committee of the award Seema Al Kharraz.
In his meeting with the award organisers, GPIC president Dr Abdulrahman Jawahery said he was pleased and proud to establish this partnership with such a pioneer award, which underlines the support of Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa to the scientific field.

Dr. Jawahery emphasized his company’s commitment to activate community partnership with various organisations in line with the directives of the kingdom of Bahrain leadership, and wished the second edition of the award every success.

On his part, Askar conveyed the greetings of Shaikh Nasser and his appreciation to such generous gestures towards sports in Bahrain in general, and to this award, in specific.
He noted that the firm’s support to the award this year reflects its awareness of backing sports movement in general and encouraging scientific researches for its positive influence on developing the sports sector in the kingdom.
