Health Ministry, King Abdulla Medical City discuss cooperation

Manama, Feb. 7 (BNA): The Ministry of Health is exploring ways of treating patients in Bahrain instead of sending them abroad. The issue was on the agenda of a key meeting between a ministry delegation led by Assistant Undersecretary for Training and Planning Dr. Mohammed and the King Abdulla bin Abdulaziz Medical.

The meeting was attended by Arabian Gulf University (AGU) President Dr. Khalid Abdul Rahman Al-Ohaly Medical City director-general Abdulwahab Al-Abdulwahab.

The two sides discussed the possibility of benefiting from the consultants’ programmes and doctors visiting the medical city to treat Bahraini patients and promote diagnostic services, lab analysis.

The key meeting follows directives from Health Minister Faeqa bint Said Al-Saleh to set up a joint committee with Medical City and hold regular coordination meetings.
