HH Shaikh Nasser Bin Hamad Al Khalifa patronizes the Inauguration of the Third …

Manama, March 29th (BNA) –Under the patronage of the Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, the President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, His Highness Shaikh Nasser Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, a ceremony is held today for the inauguration of the events of the Third GCC Skills Competition hosted by Kingdom of Bahrain, and represented by Ministry of Education. The Ceremony is also held with the participation of representatives from GCC states, where the its opening will be held in Isa Cultural Center.


The Ceremony will also include an operetta to welcome all brothers of the GCC states under the title (Ahlan Ahlan), that will include presenting popular poems, and tableaus from the Arab heritage reflecting the joint history between the GCC countries, in addition to an accompanying festival entitled “Homeland for Everyone,” but the competition’s events will be held at Bahrain Training Institute.

Marking the occasion, Minister of Education, Dr. Majid Bin Ali Al-Nuaimi welcomed the generous patronage of HH Shaikh Nasser Bin Hamad Al-Khalifa for such competition which embraces and supports youth. He also added that Ministry of Education has made all the preparations to hold such competition, which will be set up in partnership with Tamkeen, reflecting cooperation and coordination between all various governmental institutions. They aim at implementing the national initiatives to develop education and training, and contribute in elevating technical and vocational education and dissemination of professional and technological culture.

Dr. Majid Al-Nuaimi highlighted that during holding the competition, they will set up the first skills Exhibition 2013 at Bahrain Training Institute, where there will be spaces allocated for all the GCC states, in addition to the participation of a number of ministries, governmental and private companies concerned with technical education and vocational training. Those parties will present their productions, and will also present scientific and training opportunities for the young people from schools, institutes, and universities students.
