HRH Premier receives senior state officials

Manama, Sept. 26 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has been congratulated by senior state officials on the on the “Information and Communication Technology in Sustainable Development” Award conferred on him by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).


Senior officials affirmed that the ITU Award reflects the global appreciation of HRH Premier’s efforts in achieving sustainable development through taking advantage of the information and communication technology to upgrade the Bahraini citizens’ life.

This came as HRH the Prime Minister received at the Gudaibiya Palace today a number of senior state officials.

HRH Premier affirmed unwavering resolve to enhance development and progress, and stressed that Bahrain’s leading position should be expanded to cover more areas, noting that approved world indicators ranked the kingdom high in various fields.

HRH the Prime Minister discussed with the audience a number of regional and international issues, and affirmed that adopting unified stances has become necessary to address the current regional situation and its challenges, noting that threats to the region are likely to increase amid the conflicting views and stances on the vital issues.

The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, especially Saudi Arabia, are peace-loving states that hold hostility towards anyone and always seek stability.

He noted that Saudi Arabia is the GCC strategic depth and the all-inclusive Arab home, and will remain so, adding that only the ungrateful denies Saudi benevolent efforts to serve Arabs and Muslims.
